Winter Storm Update:

Message from the Southbury Emergency Management Office – February 23, 2026, 8:00am:

A winter storm continues to affect our area. We are still under a winter storm warming and blizzard warning at this time.

Heavy snow and strong winds have caused some power outages in Southbury. It is extremely important to report all outages directly to Eversource by calling 1-800-286-2000 or utilizing their online reporting from your home or mobile phone.

Please remain off the roadways so our Public Works crews can work safely. If you must go out, please drive with extreme caution.

We will continue to monitor the current storm with our local leaders, state agencies and utilities. If there's a need, the information on warming/charging centers will be posted on the Town of Southbury website once the storm passes and it is safe to travel on roadways.
