October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month, a time to honor survivors, spread awareness, and learn how to better support those affected.
Supporting a loved one through healing isn't always easy, but small actions make a world of difference:

* Respect their decisions: Honor their choices, even if they aren't what you would choose.
* Understand healing takes time: Everyone copes differently and at their own pace.
* Protect their privacy: Survivors deserve dignity and full control over their story.
* Choose supportive words: Instead of minimizing their experience, validate them with "I believe you" or "How can I support you?"

Swipe through to learn more about how you can show up for the survivors in your life.

“It takes so much for a woman to come out and say, ‘I’m a battered woman.’ I wish people would understand how difficult it is. There is so much shame involved.” Denise Brown, sister of Nicole Brown Simpson

Breaking the silence and overcoming the stigma surrounding domestic violence takes immense courage. This month, and every month, we stand with survivors, honor those we’ve lost, and work together to end the cycle of abuse.

Join us this Thursday for our Steps of Remembrance event as we gather to honor victims, celebrate survivors, and bring light to domestic violence awareness in our community.

A COMMUNITY THAT COMES TOGETHER MAKES A LASTING IMPACT!

What a beautiful day Saturday was!
House of Grace is forever grateful to our community and the Fancy Nancy Foundation for their incredible generosity, love, and continued support!

The Fancy Nancy Foundation donated the proceeds from their Jeep raffle, won by Lisa Carneal, to House of Grace. They also generously donated a van to our shelter to help us safely transport the survivors and families we serve. These gifts mean so much to our organization and will make a lasting difference in the lives of those who need us most.

We had such a wonderful time being out in the community, visiting with our partners, making new connections, and celebrating what we can accomplish when we come together for a greater purpose. It takes a village, and we are so thankful to be surrounded by people who believe in our mission and stand alongside us in this work.

From the entire team at House of Grace, THANK YOU to the Fancy Nancy Foundation, and everyone in our community who continues to support our mission. Your generosity helps us provide safety, hope, and resources to survivors of domestic violence and their children. Together, we are making a difference! Fancy Nancy Foundation

Our House of Grace team proudly wore purple in honor of Domestic Violence Awareness Month! Together, we stand in solidarity with survivors, raise awareness, and remind our community that no one has to face domestic violence alone.

It takes a village to make a difference, and we are so grateful to be part of a team and community that shows up, supports one another, and works together toward a safer future for everyone!
