We were delighted to welcome two new members to the Southaven Rotary family yesterday—Don Jones and LaBreda Morrow!

Rotary is at its best when dedicated leaders and community-minded individuals come together to serve others, build connections, and make a positive impact. We are excited to have Don and LaBreda join us as we continue our mission of “Service Above Self.”

Thank you to Abigail Barnett, District 6800 RYLA Chair, for joining the Southaven Rotary Club and sharing an inspiring and informative presentation.

Abigail highlighted the life-changing impact of the Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA) program, where young people develop leadership skills, build lasting friendships, and learn the value of service. She also shared important updates on Rotary’s global effort to eradicate polio. Her message was a powerful reminder that while we are closer than ever to ending polio worldwide, continued commitment and support are essential to ensure the disease is eliminated for good.

We are grateful for Abigail’s dedication to developing future leaders and advancing Rotary’s mission both locally and globally. Thank you for sharing your passion, expertise, and heart for service with our club.

The Southaven Rotary Club is excited to welcome Abigail Barnett, District 6800 RYLA Chair, as our featured speaker!

Abigail has dedicated her time and talents to developing the next generation of leaders through Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA). She will share insights about Rotary’s youth leadership initiatives, the impact of service learning, and the ongoing global effort to eradicate polio through the PolioPlus program.

Her passion for leadership development and community service is inspiring, and we look forward to hearing how Rotary continues to make a difference both locally and around the world.

🏆 Celebrating Service Above Self 🏆

This past Thursday, the Southaven Rotary Club was honored to be recognized by Rotary International District 6800 for our commitment to youth leadership and service.

Assistant District Governor Lt. Col. Sandra K. Walls presented the Rotary Club Youth Advisor of the Year Award to Chad Engelke and Renaldo Roberts for their dedication to mentoring students and supporting the growth of our Interact program. Southaven Rotary was also recognized as the Rotary Club Youth Champion of the Year for the 2025–2026 Rotary year.

These honors reflect the collective efforts of our members, advisors, students, and community partners who are committed to developing the next generation of leaders. Through service, mentorship, and leadership opportunities, we continue to invest in young people and empower them to make a positive impact in our communities.

We are grateful to Assistant District Governor Lt. Col. Sandra K. Walls and Rotary International District 6800 for this recognition and look forward to continuing our mission of Service Above Self.

This past Thursday, the Southaven Rotary Club had the privilege of welcoming Mississippi Attorney General Lynn Fitch as our guest speaker.

Attorney General Fitch shared valuable insights on the current state of Mississippi and discussed the important role her office plays in protecting our communities. From combating cybercrime, human trafficking, and the fentanyl epidemic to advocating for the well-being of women and children, her presentation highlighted the many ways public service can positively impact lives across our state.

It was an informative and engaging discussion that provided a deeper understanding of the challenges and opportunities facing Mississippi today. We appreciate Attorney General Fitch taking the time to share her experiences, leadership, and vision for a safer and stronger Mississippi.

Thank you for joining us and for your continued dedication to serving the people of our great state.

Dr. Eubanks serves as President of Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital and brings an incredible background in pediatric medicine, leadership, and service to children and families across our region. His work continues to make a lasting impact throughout the Mid-South, and we are honored to hear from him.
