The Cape Wellness Collaborative is a nonprofit that provides free-of-charge integrative wellness therapies and support for residents on Cape Cod, Martha's Vineyard, and Nantucket facing cancer. Cape Wellness Collaborative is a nonprofit established to connect those facing cancer on Cape Cod and the Islands with free of charge integrative therapies such as massage, nutritional counseling and acupuncture. 🩷 For the fourth year in a row, Pink Ribbon Pickleball brought its community together in support of CWC! 🩷

Held on October 7th, this annual tournament gathers more than 100 women to honor their friend Deb Trippier, who passed away from breast cancer in 2021. This year’s sock hop theme brought plenty of fun and personality to a day already filled with purpose. We’re deeply grateful to this incredible group for continuing Deb’s legacy through friendship, remembrance, and support for others facing cancer! They raised more than $7,000 this year!! WOW!

On October 4th, more than 60 friends gathered for a special pickleball social organized by Gary Nowitz in memory of Tom Greenwood, who recently passed away from cancer. The event was a heartfelt tribute to Tom and a beautiful example of how friendship and shared memories can bring people together for a meaningful cause. Thanks to this lovely group for raising $2,285!! And thank you to Gary and everyone who participated in honoring Tom’s life and supporting CWC!

We're excited to once again offer this specialized yoga4cancer class at CWC that supports the physical and emotional needs that can arise during and after cancer treatment, guided by a certified y4c instructor who understands the unique needs of those impacted by cancer.

Open to CWC clients, survivors, previous clients, and anyone who has experienced cancer. Space is limited, so advance registration is encouraged! Participants will rotate through three 25-minute stations:

Yoga can be a meaningful part of supportive care during and after cancer treatment, but working safely and effectively with people affected by cancer requires a deeper understanding of the physical and emotional impacts of diagnosis and treatment.

This workshop, led by Sabine Drescher, RYT 500 and Yoga4Cancer-trained instructor, invites yoga instructors and healthcare professionals to explore the science behind cancer, its treatments and side effects, and the role yoga can play in supporting recovery and self-care. Participants will also have the opportunity to experience an Oncology Yoga class firsthand.
