Stan Samuelson was a tireless ally of the LGBTQ Community, and served as the GSA liaison for Cape Cod PRIDE for several years. Tragically, on April 21, 2020, Stan lost his life to COVID-19. Prior to volunteering for Cape Cod PRIDE, Stan had worked as an engineer, social worker, teacher, coach, and GSA advisor, and had volunteered for many community organizations and causes. His friends and family
decided the best way to honor Stan, who had done so much for so many, was to establish a Scholarship Fund in his name. The Stan Samuelson Scholarship Fund is managed by The Cape Cod Foundation. To APPLY for a Stan Samuelson Scholarship, go to The Cape Cod Foundation website at capecodfoundation.org and complete the Scholarship Application. Be sure to indicate that you want to apply for the Stan Samuelson Scholarship. Information about all of the Scholarships available, and the Application can be found under the "Receive" tab. The Stan Samuelson Scholarship Fund description can be found under "New Scholarships for 2022." The Application deadline for 2022 was on April 1, 2022. If you will be a graduating senior at a Cape and Islands high school in 2023, look for the Application in January 2023, which will have an April 1, 2023 deadline.
