The application for the 2026 Teamsters Scholarship Fund is now open!

High school seniors from the Class of 2026 who are the financial dependent of a Teamster in good standing are encouraged to apply for the scholarship by April 1, 2026. Scholarships are available for use toward a four-year college or university degree as well as training and vocational programs that are related to work in a Teamsters-represented industry, class, or craft.

Another BIG WIN for the working class brought to you by the Teamsters! 💪

Congratulations to our brothers and sisters in Florida on getting their first contract the old fashion way 🥊💥!

After months on the picket line, 160 Teamsters have won their strike against Breakthru Beverage at facilities throughout Florida. Members voted today to ratify a strong first contract that will protect and reward drivers in Tampa, Fort Myers, Jacksonville, Orlando, Pensacola, and Tallahassee exactly 400 days after voting to join the Teamsters Union.

The three-year contract delivers major wage increases, improved paid leave, and key union protections, including seniority protections and a guaranteed 40-hour work week.

“Breakthru Beverage picked a fight with the wrong union,” said Teamsters General President Sean M. O’Brien. “For 400 days, these drivers stood on the line, every single day, and never once backed down. The company tried every dirty trick to divide our members, but we didn’t flinch. Our members didn’t give in. And today, the Teamsters have won. Let this be a warning: if you try to test the resolve of Teamsters, you will always fail.”

Breakthru Beverage is one of the largest beverage wholesalers in North America, operating in 15 states, as well as Canada and the District of Columbia. The Teamsters represent thousands of workers in the wine and liquor industry, including hundreds at Breakthru locations nationwide.

The Teamsters Local 1035 Annual Children’s Fund Holiday Party is coming up on Saturday, December 6th at 1:00 p.m. and will be held in East Hartford, CT.

RSVPs are due by October 31, 2025.
If you didn’t receive an RSVP form (they were sent out in September), please call the Union Office as soon as possible.

We can’t wait to celebrate the holidays with our members and their families!

🥊💥Local 1035 Stands in Solidarity with Local 191 at CDI🥊💥

Teamsters Local 1035 stands in strong support of our brothers and sisters of Local 191, who remain on strike at Connecticut Distributors (CDI) in Stratford.

While negotiations continue, it's clear CDI has not bargained in good faith or shown the respect their employees deserve. The hardworking men and women on that picket line helped build the company’s success, and they deserve a fair contract that reflects their commitment and contribution.

Local 1035 stands united with Local 191 in calling on CDI to do right by its workers and reach a fair agreement.
