🚨🚨 AIR QUALITY ALERT IN EFFECT MONDAY AUG 4 🚨🚨

The Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection has issued a
Code ORANGE Air Quality Alert for the northern tier of Pennsylvania
on Monday.

This is due to smoke from wildfires in central Canada, resulting in
elevated fine particle pollution.

A Code ORANGE Air Quality Alert means that air pollution
concentrations within the region may become unhealthy for sensitive
groups. Sensitive groups include children, people suffering from
asthma, heart disease or other lung diseases, and the elderly. The
effects of air pollution can be minimized by avoiding strenuous
activity or exercise outdoors.ay

07-27-25 Station’s 6 and 7 were dispatched to Nomad Distilling Co.., Bastress Township for a fire alarm activation. Chief 1-6 (Stabley) arrived with nothing evident, holding to Engine 6, Tanker 7. Units investigated with nothing found. Tanker’s 6, 1-6, and 9-7 all were recalled.

Williamsport, Jersey Shore, Watsontown, Montgomery, Duboistown,
Allenwood, Elimsport, Waterville, Spruce Run Reservoir,
Collomsville, Delaware Run, and Little Pine State Park.

For those driving on Interstate 80, this includes areas between the
Jersey Shore and Lewisburg-Williamsport exits, specifically from mile
markers 198 to 208.

This includes Interstate 180 between mile markers 8 and 9, and from
mile markers 27 to 29.

Last night members did air pack training. They walked around the block and did indoor training in a spare room. Other members worked on vehicle maintenance and maintenance around the station.
