Sometimes rescue is happy endings.

And sometimes rescue is the moment someone’s world falls apart… and a dog gets caught in the middle. 💔

Meet Daisy. 🌼

A stunning 2-year-old brindle beauty weighing 75 pounds of pure love, loyalty, and resilience.

Just a few months ago, Daisy was adopted from the Arizona Humane Society. She finally had a home. A family. A future.

Or so everyone thought.

Then life happened.

Her owner suffered a devastating series of hardships. Eviction. Transportation issues. Financial struggles. And, as if things couldn’t get worse, Daisy had also suffered a serious leg injury.

As the eviction date approached, time ran out.

Immediate family came to help.

But nobody would take Daisy.

Local shelters were already overflowing.

There was no time left.

No options left.

And no place left for Daisy to go.

💔 She was injured.
💔 She was abandoned through circumstances no one wanted.
💔 She was a large breed dog needing expensive medical care.
💔 She was completely out of time.

In the middle of an animal welfare crisis, an abandoned 75-pound injured dog needing surgery doesn’t usually get a third chance.

But then something incredible happened.

Someone stepped up to take her in and figure it out. 😇

And with a foster, Paws_Without_Borders stepped in.

Because how could we not? ❤️

The moment we met Daisy, we knew.

This girl deserved a chance.

Not because she’s easy.

Not because she’s cheap.

Not because she fits neatly into a rescue budget.

But because she matters.

And because she is absolutely wonderful.

🌼 Prefers women, but warms up with patience and kindness

She’s the kind of dog that quietly steals your heart and never gives it back. ❤️

But now Daisy needs help.

Yesterday Daisy underwent a sedated orthopedic exam and radiographs.

The results were heartbreaking.

🐾 Torn left rear ACL (CCL)
🐾 Mild hip dysplasia in both hips

This isn’t something that will heal on its own.

This isn’t a “wait and see” situation.

Daisy will need an orthopedic consultation and surgical intervention.

And it’s going to be expensive.

Very expensive.

But what choice does she have?

A shelter isn’t the place for a dog who needs a major orthopedic surgery.

Without rescue, Daisy simply wouldn’t have had a path forward.

So we’re giving her one!! 💪

We are fully committed to Daisy’s care and treatment.💯

But we cannot do it alone. 🥺😭

Have you ever met someone who walks into a room like they own the place?

Yeah. That’s Schroeder.

At just 7 months old and 32 pounds, this handsome black-and-white heartthrob has already mastered the art of being the main character. 😎✨

He’s got the looks.
He’s got the confidence.
He’s got the “follow you around because obviously we’re best friends now” personality.

Schroeder is what we lovingly call a “little mighty man.” 💪🐶

Need a bathroom buddy? Schroeder volunteers.

Need someone to supervise snack preparation? Schroeder has experience.

Need a loyal sidekick to accompany you through life’s adventures? Schroeder has already packed his bags. 🎒❤️

This foster favorite is friendly, affectionate, and loves being near his humans. He’s doing great with the dog door and his potty training is coming along nicely. He gets along with other dogs, though he’s got a bit of that “I’m the boss around here” attitude. Not rude… just confidently employed as management. 📋🐕

The best part? He’s not expected to be a giant dog. Schroeder is likely to stay in that perfect small-to-medium size range—the ideal size for couch cuddles, road trips, patio lunches, and stealing your side of the bed. 🛋️🚗☀️

And can we talk about that coat?! 😍

That gorgeous black-and-white coloring looks like he got dressed up for a formal event and forgot to take off his tuxedo.
