‼️UPDATED SERVICE INFORMATION — DATE CHANGE!‼️
It is with deep sadness that we share the passing of our longtime Oceanaires brother, Robert Sorino.
Rob was a cherished member of our chorus for many years and someone whose presence will be profoundly missed. As a lead, he was known for his crisp, clean sound and strong, confident voice that could fill a room and touch the heart. He loved quartetting and sharing music with others, always bringing joy and connection through song.
Beyond his musical contributions, Rob gave tirelessly of his time and energy. He served on the chorus board and devoted countless hours behind the scenes, including his work on the chorus newsletter, Ocean Sound, and many other administrative efforts that helped keep our organization strong. His dedication and reliability made a lasting impact on all of us.
Those who knew Rob also knew his kindness. He was the kind of person who would do anything for anyone, always putting others first and making people feel welcome and valued. He brought people together, not only in music but in life, and his spirit of warmth and generosity defined him.
Rob’s love for his family was at the center of everything. He is survived by his devoted wife of 53 years, Ella, who was a constant and beloved presence at rehearsals and chorus events, always offering her own time and support. He also leaves behind his daughters, Robin and Melissa, his son in law Steven, his cherished grandchildren Steven Jr. and Mia, and his brothers Fred and Joseph. Our hearts are especially with Ella and the entire Sorino family during this difficult time.
