On behalf of the South Thomaston Fire Department, I would like to express our thanks to the full and part-time residents of our town and visitors for their generous contribution to our boot drive. The Fire Department always has a series of unexpected expenses throughout the year and these funds help us meet them. We can always depend on our neighbors for help, just as they can depend on us.

Tomorrow morning 8/12 South Thomaston Emergency Services will be holding a boot drive from 8:30am to 12:30pm at the intersection of Route 73 and Dublin Rd. At the Keag Store corner. Thank you all for your patience and your donations.

Thank you to the Maine Warden Service for putting on a great training last night for us all. We trained on Wildland Search and Rescue to better prepare ourselves if an event is ever to take place in one of our towns. Thank you to the towns of Saint George Fire and Rescue, Owl's Head Fire and Our members of South Thomaston Fire and EMS that were able to attend. We had an incredible 36 members take time out of their busy lives to attend the training. We can't thank you all enough!!!
