Krewe Of Queen Anne's Revenge

Krewe Of Queen Anne's Revenge This a public page for the Krewe of Queen Anne's Revenge. Est. 2010, Tampa, FL. Follow us along! ⚜️ Fleur de Lis. Our members are lovingly referred to as “Annies”.

We are the French Caribbean women of the West Indies, Island of St. Legends tells of Blackbeard sailing in the Caribbean waters on his flagship “Queen Anne’s Revenge”. He spent many days and nights enjoying the cool breezes and intoxicating libations of the island hosted by Annies. Blackbeard left us to fight his final battle off the coast of South Carolina when leaving, he gave us his pirate’s co

de that he would navigate his way back to us soon. While most say he is dead, the Annies say his spirit lives on through their libations, lavish lifestyles, and legacies. After being involved in “Krewe Life” for many years, collectively, we had the knowledge and the foresight of what type of organization we all would want to be a part of. We all wanted something that we could share and eventually pass on to our legacies. KQAR was established in January of 2010 when seven south Tampa women decided it was time to break away from the pack and start their own krewe dedicated to Libations, Lustiness and Legacy. We currently participate in the Gasparilla Children’s Parade, Gasparilla Day Parade, Saint Yago Knight Parade and the Rough Riders St. Patrick’s Parade. Now we embark on the legend of our three floats:

We begin with the blue waters of the Caribbean filled with exotic sea life and coral reefs. Waves crash upon the lighthouse that warns other pirates of KQAR’s fortress built on top of massive granite boulders. Our beach is protected by two impressive cannons. Once on the island you are greeted by two magnificent Monarch butterflies, tropical birds high in the palm trees, and colorful island flowers that covered our plantation home. Beware of Pepe Blackbeard, a 306 year old parrot who’s perched in front of the plantation house. He is very good at tweeting deadman tails. Your path now takes you into the island’s jungle where you come face to face with Mr. Big and his cannons. Our fierce but friendly Gorilla stands tall to ward off unwanted visitors! As you may know sugar was the most important crop throughout the Caribbean. Because of our significant production of sugar we are able to process and stock large amounts of Rum for entertaining our pirate quest. A cold libation is always ready for you at the Sugar Mill but beware a lot of monkey business goes on here. We look forward with great anticipation for the opportunity to entertain all the Krewes of Gasparilla so that they too can experience our island hospitality where our motto is “Better than Rum and Gun Powder”

Currently our membership is only open via Sponsorship and Legacy. Potential members must be sponsored by a current member. Once sponsored, application are thoroughly reviewed and then voted on by the board of directors for acceptance.
