This summer, Spaces Reimagined will be hosting South River's first Porch Party. What is a Porch Party?
A Porch Party is a friendly, informal, outdoor gathering. It's a way for neighbors to get to know one another and to build community. You don't need to know the host to attend. All are welcome! It's a time to greet newcomers and also to reconnect with old acquaintances!
WHO CAN COME?
Everyone who lives in South River is welcome. If you have visitors from out of town, bring them along. If you moved away from South River and want to see your friends and former neighbors, come on back! If you're thinking about moving to Historic South River and want to get a sense of the neighborhood and the folks who live here, please know you'll be welcome.
WHEN ARE THE PORCH PARTIES?
Our First Porch party is Friday, June 1st at 6:00 p.m. It will be held at 198 Main St. (corner of Grove St.)
The date, time, and location for future Porch Parties will be announced on our page (Spaces Reimagined). No RSVP required.
WHAT TO BRING?
Anything you enjoy eating and sharing! Some folks who love to cook whip up a quick treat. It's also a great chance to share that old family favorite. Others bring a pizza, box of chicken, chips and dip, veggie platters from the grocery store, or cakes from a bakery. The point is not to stress over this. Just come, bring something to share, and enjoy yourself.
If you want an alcoholic beverage, please bring your own. The host provides non-alcoholic beverages, paper plates, utensils, cups, and napkins.
