These boys had a great weekend at Monmouth Council, Scouting America Snuffy Hollow Camporee! With about half the time to prep due to Klondike’s weather delay, these kids still worked hard! Last year they came in 2nd to last…this year they placed 4th as a troop and 5th as a patrol! Congratulations Troop 83! You worked as a team and did your best and that’s all your leaders could ask for!

Troop 83 would like to extend a huge thank you to East Coast Mechanical Contractors Inc. for their generous donation of new tents for our troop!

The owner, Mike Chiofalo, is not only the grandfather of our Patrol Leader and Assistant Patrol Leader, but he is also an Eagle Scout himself. Mike understands firsthand how valuable the Scouting program is in shaping young people—teaching leadership, responsibility, and skills that carry with them well into adulthood.

Support like this helps ensure our Scouts can continue learning, camping, and growing together. We are incredibly grateful for his generosity and continued support of the Scouting community.

Hot off the press! Troop 83 took home Klondike 2026 1st Place overall (out of 17 troops and a 43 point lead!) These kids worked hard and it really paid off! We may not have the largest troop but we have heart! Congrats boys!
