During staff training this year, we were SO LUCKY to get to have the One And Only Cliff Jacobson join us! He came out for an evening with this year's wilderness guides. Cliff literally wrote the book on camping. All of them. He's written dozens of books about wilderness camping, canoeing, campfire cooking, primitive shelters, knot tying, and more. We learned a lot from him, and it was also really edifying to see how much of his advice Amnicon has been doing for years.

The next day, we asked on the chalkboard, "Who has inspired you?" One of our staffers wrote, "Cliff Jacobson".

It was such an honor to meet him in person!
