Break the rules and discover new possibilities in paint! Explore shape, form, negative space, and unexpected color combinations as you create expressive compositions inspired by the world around you. About the Artist
Elizabeth Ricketson is a South Pomfret, Vermont artist working primarily in acrylic and oil. With a background in figure drawing and a passion for color and abstract expressionism, she blends representational subjects with expressive techniques and unexpected color choices. Her award-winning work has been exhibited throughout New England, and she currently teaches contemporary painting at Artistree.

More Creating. More Exploring. More Fun After School.

The school day may end, but the creativity is just getting started! Artistree’s Afterschool Enrichment Programs give kids ages 5–7 and 8–12 a welcoming place to explore, create, move, perform, and discover new interests alongside friends.

Most programs run 3:30–5:30pm, making them a fun and enriching way to fill those after-school hours with something kids can look forward to all day.

Create your own papers. Tear them up. Turn them into something entirely new! Join artist and printmaker Pam Smith for a playful, hands-on exploration of printmaking and collage. Experiment with monoprinting, stamping, block printing, and painting to create richly textured, colorful papers, then layer, cut, and combine them into a one-of-a-kind collage.

No need to arrive with a plan—this workshop is all about experimenting, discovering unexpected combinations, and letting the creative process lead the way. You'll leave with your own finished artwork, plenty of new techniques to explore, and inspiration to keep creating at home.

Vermont singer-songwriter Jim Yeager brings nearly three decades of writing and performing experience to the stage, blending rock, folk, blues, and Americana with heartfelt, original songwriting. From intimate acoustic ballads to energetic rock-driven songs, Jim's music is personal, thoughtful, and rooted in the connection between performer and audience.
