YOU'RE INVITED TO THE CLOSING CELEBRATION OF ARTISTRY UNVEILED! Join us this Saturday, March 28th from 6-8PM at SPARC Centre Gallery to close out this wonderful month with art, music, and community!

At the heart of the month is “Unleashed,” a solo exhibition by painter Anna Berlly, on view throughout March. The opening reception is this Saturday, March 7th from 4-7pm at SPARC Centre Gallery (1000 Fremont Ave.) and we hope to see you there!

In her artist statement for Unleashed, Berlly describes painting as rebellion and release — an act of letting go, of painting over fear, of dismantling perfection in order to build something more alive. Her women emerge imperfect, messy, strong, vulnerable, and fully present.

This March, the South Pasadena Arts Council (SPARC) is excited to present Artistry Unveiled: A Celebration of Women Artists, a monthlong celebration of Women’s History Month featuring a powerful solo exhibition, hands-on workshops, poetry,
and a closing night of music and art — all centered at the SPARC Centre Gallery.

Express yourself with make-and-take paper arts & crafts, an arts workshop designed by South Pasadena High School teens!

This weekend at the SPARC Centre Gallery, our high school interns will be providing a FREE arts workshop activity for every one in our community! Join us on Saturday, February 7th from 3-6pm to create paper arts & crafts that you can then take home.

Afterwards, visit the gallery to view a Clifford Bailey exhibition titled The Best of Times!

The South Pasadena Arts Council (SPARC) presents The Art of Sport, a dynamic exhibition exploring the intersection of athletic achievement and contemporary art, featuring collaborative works by renowned sports photographer Andrew D. Bernstein and visual artist Taura.

The exhibition culminates in a ticketed, in-person conversation with Andrew D. Bernstein and special guests on Saturday, January 24, from 4–6 PM, at the SPARC Centre Gallery.

Timed to coincide with the publication of Mamba & Mambacita Forever, the discussion offers insight into the creation of commemorative sports art, the collaborative process behind public-facing works, and the role of visual storytelling in shaping collective memory. RSVP today!
