Join us this Saturday, August 22nd from 3-6pm at BOTH SPARC locations for a make and take project: SUMMER FISH!

Created by our SPHS teen interns with guidance from volunteer Mia Nakaji Monnier (美亜), they are taking you on a swim through South Pas to check out our two SPARC galleries.

First stop is at the SPARC Gallery located at South Pas Chamber Of Commerce (1121 Mission St) where you will create the first part of your fish using recycled materials.

Then you can swim on over down to SPARC Centre Gallery at the Fremont Centre Theatre (1000 Fremont Ave, entrance on El Centro St.) to complete your fish with bubbles and enjoy the summer fun!

The South Pasadena Arts Council (SPARC) proudly presents - The Art of Community: The South Pasadena Premiere of “Italian Wannabe”, an independent documentary film celebrating Bill Disselhorst, his love of Italy, and the story behind the beloved Fiore Market Café that he and his late wife, Anne, created in South Pasadena.

Join us this Saturday, August 8th from 4 - 7pm for the opening reception of Brian Zick, a solo exhibition at the SPARC Centre Gallery.

Illustrator, Painter, Designer and Animator, Brian Zick is a
pioneer in the West Coast Illustration World and Beyond.

For over fifty years, Brian has amazed and amused
us with his signature airbrush art and whimsical canvas
paintings. His work is smart, cool, quirky and clever.
Brian is always on target, whatever the project involves.
Brian can be conceptual and funny, political and serious,
and frequently...all at the same time!

The South Pasadena Arts Council presents The Creative Life, an exhibition featuring South Pasadena Senior Center Artists! Join us this Saturday, July 11th from 3-6pm at SPARC Centre Gallery (1000 Fremont Ave, South Pasadena, CA 91030) for the opening reception of this wonderful exhibition.

The Creative Life celebrates the creativity, dedication, and artistic growth of sixteen local artists who participate in the South Pasadena Senior Center's Watercolor Painting Group co-led by Cheryl St George and Susan McCarty. The exhibition highlights not only the beauty of watercolor as a medium, but also the friendships, encouragement, and sense of purpose that have grown through a shared commitment to making art.
