Our mission is to raise funds for the Vannie E. Cook Jr. Friends for Hope also helps several needy families of the clinic each Christmas with gifts and meals.

Friends for Hope is an organization of adults in the RGV dedicated to helping local children suffering from cancer. Children’s Cancer and Hematology Clinic, provide volunteers to support the Clinic staff, and increase community awareness of the Clinic and the needs of the

young patients that it serves. Friends for Hope hosts various social events in an effort to give back to our community such as the Friends for Hope Annual Benefit, Annual Fishing Tournament, an annual Christmas Party for patients of the clinic and their families, various mixers and fundraisers to promote community awareness. All net proceeds from the events are donated directly to the Vannie E. Children’s Cancer and Hematology Clinic. Twenty years of hope. Twenty years of community. Twenty years of standing beside our Vannie Kids and their families through every step of their journey. None of this would be possible without our donors, sponsors, volunteers, medical partners, and friends who have shown up year after year with open hearts and unwavering support.
