I celebrated National Take A Friend Fishing Month by fishing at Bahia Grande! It was a lot of fun with family, friends, and so many keeper black drum fish! Leticia and her daughter, along with her daughter's boyfriend, came on the trip too, realizing that blind people can fish too! Thank you so much to all the volunteers who made this fishing excursion a reality, George, Tessy, and Shane. Special shout-out to Laguna Atascosa National Wildlife Refuge and Fishing's Future! Special thanks to my sexy angler wife.

Celebrating the National Take-a-Friend-Fishing Month! The South Texas Blind Anglers Chapter of Fishing's Future made an impact at the Texas Focus 2026 conference! We had a busy exhibit hall, connecting with blindness related professionals, blind people, and their families. Our presentation was a hit! Shane and Danny delivered an awesome session regarding using blindness rehab skills in an accessible recreation activities such as fishing.

What a fun and exciting day with our friends with The Friedkin Group and Gulf States Toyota. Getting them ready for a grand Angler Education event this coming Monday with Earth Tomorrow Summer Institute (National Wildlife Federation), Texas Parks & Wildlife Foundation, Texas Freshwater Fisheries Center - Texas Parks and Wildlife, and Inland Fisheries College Station-Houston District-Texas Parks and Wildlife.

So very excited to play a small part in getting the volunteers ready for Monday.
