It’s no wonder the Laguna Station surfing program is so popular. The headquarters of Laguna Station Sea Base is the southernmost part of the island. The Scout base hosts a 2 AC bedroom mobile home, AC 8 bed dorm room, First Aid building, commisary, breezy shelters, and tent pads to house 80 participants any day of the year . Get your best night’s sleep with a cool ocean breeze and waves lapping against the shore. The Scout Sea Base has a launch point for kayaks and paddle boards on the bay side of the island, as well as good fishing spots along the jetties. Gulf side beaches for surfing and beach activities are just a few yards away from the base. Additionally, activities take places all across South Padre Island, providing opportunities to see the island as part of your week.
