Hello everyone. Due to the high volume of beachgoers celebrating the 4th of July, we will not be offering sand camp from July 2nd to July 6th. We hope your holiday is filled with enjoyable activities. Please exercise caution and remember to maintain the beach's cleanliness for future events.

What is SandCamp?
Well, what it isn't is a sandcastle lesson -- we would have to charge you for that!

SandCamp is taught by a local guy - Josh. Josh is not a professional sandguy; he is retired-military musician who is currently teaching yoga, water aerobics and how to have more fun on the beach forever. Josh can show you some really fun things to do with SPI sand -- and that may be enough for most. But some of Josh's students will be intrigued enough to want to sign up for a real lesson with one of our many talented local instructors (i.e. those found at sandyfeet sandcastle services.)

Sandcamp is free and open to all ages, though little ones should be actively assisted by an adult. Some equipment is provided -- extra shovels and buckets are always welcomed. Look for Josh and his flag M-F at 5 PM - weather permitting - all summer long. (Access #16 can get busy, but keep looking because Josh is incredibly dependable.)

SandCamp is funded by a 501 c3 nonprofit - Sandcastle Island, Inc using funds collected at the Holiday Sandcastle Village. Since we definitely can't afford to pay Josh what he is worth, feel free to tip him - generously - if you are able.

Everyone, please be advised that sand camp is canceled for today due to unpredictable weather conditions. We will resume our activities tomorrow from 5:00 to 6:00 at access 16 Neptune circle, where we will build sand sea turtles. We invite you to join us.
