Thank you to everyone that made it out to our member social and executive committee election last week!

We’re grateful for everyone who showed up, shared ideas, and continues to support the mission of protecting our waves, oceans, and coastal communities. We’re excited for what’s ahead and can’t wait to see what we accomplish together!

Thank you to everyone who joined us for our monthly beach cleanup with the Surfrider UTRGV student club! 20 volunteers collected 250.4 lbs of trash! You guys rock! 💙🌊

And big thank you to Up2U Litter Prevention Campaign for providing litter bags for this cleanup!

Join the Surfrider Foundation South Texas Chapter and UTRGV Student Club for a back-to-school beach cleanup! We will provide cleanup supplies, snacks, and water (no single use water bottles so bring a reusable one). Please bring sunscreen, comfortable shoes, and a water bottle and help us clean our beaches!

The aftermath of July 4th is always a wake-up call for our coastline, but our community stepped up big time. 🌊💪
​For the Dirtiest Beach Day of the Year cleanup on July 5th, we hit Beach Access 6 and hauled out a massive amount of trash from just a small area. 26 volunteers came out to pick up 311 pounds of trash! Huge thanks to everyone who came out to protect our backyard! 🏖️✨
​This isn't a one-time thing. We’re officially moving to one cleanup a month to keep our shores beautiful. 🗓️

Join us for a community beach cleanup on South Padre Island after the 4th of July festivities. Known as the "dirtiest beach day of the year," this nationwide effort helps remove trash and fireworks debris before it reaches the ocean. Volunteers will help clean the beach, document collected litter, and make a positive impact on our coast!
