In honor of the close of , we're sharing the story of Joseph A. Unanue Latino Institute Scholar Lucas Brasil '26.

As a high school senior, Lucas expected community college to be his next step. Instead, he became the first in his family to attend college and graduated from Seton Hall ready to launch a career in finance.

A scholarship from the Joseph A. Unanue Latino Institute helped Lucas offset the cost of books and tuition and enabled him to take on an 18-credit course load at the Stillman School of Business. That support also gave him the opportunity to grow as a servant leader and deepen his connection to his Latino heritage.

Learn how Lucas' journey reflects the impact of the For All, Forever campaign and how donor support helps first-generation students turn opportunity into leadership. https://setonhall.edu/4eeZ4Ul

Meet Thomas Foy '11, who just worked his first US Open as a Camera Utility!

After earning his B.A. in Broadcast/Visual Media with a focus on TV Production, Thomas jumped straight into the Film/TV industry, starting as a Production Assistant on reality shows. Fifteen years later, he's built a career in the camera department across TV shows, movies, commercials, and live events, working as a Camera Operator, Camera Assistant, and Camera Loader/Utility. He's also a proud member of IATSE Local 600 and Local 100.

At the US Open, Thomas worked side by side with handheld camera operators, wrangling cable as they captured players walking out of the tunnel, match breaks, post-match interviews, and the energy of the crowd. Behind the scenes, he helped build the match cameras and run the technical cables that carried picture and sound to the tournament's control rooms.

His favorite part : Having front row seats to watch some great tennis.

Congratulations, Thomas. We're proud to see you on the big stage! 💙
