Our Lions have been out celebrating March is Reading Month at both Brummer and Kent Lake Elementary for the second year in a row.

They get to read to classes K-5 then answer some pretty great questions like, how much homework do you have in high school? Do you have a girlfriend? Can you lift a car? Have you wrestled each other, and who won? Have you wrestled John Cena 😂? They’ve even had lines for autographs.

We’re not sure who enjoys the experience more, the wrestlers or the students. It’s great to be back in their old elementary schools, seeing former teachers and principals and meeting all the kids.

The Lions competed well at Individual Districts yesterday, we’re proud of the entire team and the work they’ve put in this season.

Moving on to Regionals are:

🥉Colin Fournier - 120lbs 3rd place
🥉Wesley Honiss - 132lbs 3rd place
🏅Wyatt Green - 165lbs 4th place
🥈RJ Green - 215lbs Runner Up

We’ll also be celebrating our Seniors, RJ Green, Madi Balestrieri and Baron Grieve.

Our Lions had a great showing this past weekend at the two day Oakland County Championships.

RJ Green - Champion (2x)
Wesley Honiss - 2nd
Derek Ward - 5th
Colin Fournier- 5th
Wyatt Green - 7th

Dean Smith and Caden Walter both advanced to day 2, falling just short of placement.
