Are you ready to spread some holiday cheer? Join us in the 2024 South Lyon Holiday Spectacular Parade on Saturday, December 7th! This year's theme is “Honoring Christmas Past”—so light up your float, get creative, and show off your holiday spirit!

📝 To Participate: Fill out the parade application and submit it for review by November 30, 2024. We can’t wait to see the incredible displays our community comes up with!

🎄 South Lyon Holiday Spectacular Announcement! 🎄

Get ready for a festive day full of holiday cheer on **Saturday, December 7, 2024**! The South Lyon Holiday Spectacular has a fantastic lineup of activities for all ages.

✨ Schedule of Events ✨
- 10 AM - 2 PM: Winter Farmers Market at VFW Hall (featuring a Gingerbread Treasure Hunt!)
- 10 AM: Candy Cane Hunt at McHattie Park
- 3 - 5 PM: "Cool Yule" at United Methodist Church (Crafts, games & baked goods – free!)
- 4 - 8 PM: Historic Village Tours, plus a bake sale and hot cocoa
- 4 - 7 PM: Santa visits, ice sculptures, and street performers in downtown SL
- 5 - 11 PM: Festivities at Heinanen Engineering, including tree lighting and live music!
- 6 PM: Holiday Lighted Parade (line-up begins at 5 PM)
- 6:30 PM: Santa arrives at Witch’s Depot! Mayor Steve Kennedy presents Santa the Key to the City, followed by a village tree lighting and sing-along!
7 PM: Santa and Mrs. Claus greet children at Washburn School, followed by a holiday performance at 7:30 PM!

Come celebrate the season with our community – it’s a day you won’t want to miss! 🎅✨

Big thank you to the South Lyon Police Department, all the City of South Lyon DPW employees and most of all the community for making this years Parade a Holiday Hit! Dayna Johnston has been working hard for year to build our local Parade to help spread the joy around our wonderful community. We hope this brings as much joy to your heart as it brings to ours. Hope everyone is getting ready for the Parade TONIGHT. Parade starts at 6pm at Bartlett Elementary and ending at the Witches Hat Depot. Dorthey street will be closed for parade floats.
