𝐂𝐨𝐲𝐨, 𝐒𝐄𝐀 𝐀𝐥𝐮𝐦𝐧𝐚

Coyo dreamed of becoming a chef and baker. At 19, she joined SEA’s Hospitality & Culinary Arts program—designed to support under-resourced, justice-involved, and opportunity youth by building self-efficacy, purpose, and community.

With guidance from the SEA team, Coyo completed a nationally recognized hospitality training through the American Hotel & Lodging Education Institute, earned her ServSafe Food Handling Certification, and received job placement support.

Today, Coyo has been a sous chef at a world-renowned hotel for nearly two years. She is walking in her purpose and inspiring others along the way. Coyo is SEA in Action.

This special event will raise funds to support Soledad Enrichment Action, Inc. Substance Use Disorder and mental health programs, ensuring that vulnerable individuals continue to receive the care and resources they need

SEA Staff and Community Members Complete California Peer Support Specialist Certificate Program 🥳🙌🏻

In a proud collaboration with East Los Angeles College, SEA staff and dedicated community members successfully completed the California Peer Support Specialist Certificate Program. Participants were awarded official certificates of completion from East Los Angeles Community College recognizing their commitment to peer-led mental health and recovery support. The graduates were also honored with accolades from government affiliates, highlighting the significance of their achievement and the impact they will have in their communities!
