Coyo dreamed of becoming a chef and baker. At 19, she joined SEAโs Hospitality & Culinary Arts programโdesigned to support under-resourced, justice-involved, and opportunity youth by building self-efficacy, purpose, and community.
With guidance from the SEA team, Coyo completed a nationally recognized hospitality training through the American Hotel & Lodging Education Institute, earned her ServSafe Food Handling Certification, and received job placement support.
Today, Coyo has been a sous chef at a world-renowned hotel for nearly two years. She is walking in her purpose and inspiring others along the way. Coyo is SEA in Action.
