North Pointe Ballet will host its 5th Annual fall ‘Ballet in the Park’ event at Lakeview Park in Lorain on Friday, September 11, 2026. Entitled United We Dance, this event is a twist on NPB’s typical fall repertoire concert. The community dance celebration will combine professional performance with interactive, inclusive workshops. Youth audience members will be invited onstage to participate in a dance and choreography lesson before sharing their dance with their families onstage.

The event will be presented outdoors near the historic rose garden at Lakeview Park. Stay after the concert to watch the sunset on Lakeview Beach. Attendance is free! Lawn seating — bring a blanket or a chair.

Here at our Youth Summer Camp, it’s not always peaches and cream — but the learning and the joy never stop. Whether we’re bringing Art in the Park indoors on those smoky days or cooling off during our hottest HOT water‑day afternoons, our youth show up ready, and the fun follows.

A huge thank you to ALL our AMAZING partners who make this 8‑week adventure possible. A special thank you to Lorain County Community College for our participants minds and bodies active, Our F.A.M.I.L.Y. (Fathers and Mothers Involved in Local Youth) for keeping our kiddos fed, and United Way of Greater Lorain County, Stocker Foundation of Lorain County, and Lorain County Job and Family Services for funding and supporting this program.

Last week was FULL of movement, creativity, and discovery! Lorain El Centro Youth Summer Camp youth are continuing to discover more about themselves through work and play. Our campers exercised, learned about their changing bodies, created wayfinding signs with a City Engineer, made puppets, practiced cursive, dove into new books and concluded with a party to celebrate EVERYBODY'S BIRTHDAY! With the support of amazing partners, our youth are growing strong, confident and LORAIN PROUD!
