The Lake Valley Firefighters Foundation has been busy this month! We have sent out $100,000 in donations and have attached a press release that lists the various organizations we have donated to. There are so many people to thank for their generous support and we could not have done this without you!

In the wake of the Caldor Fire incident, Lake Valley Firefighters Foundation has received tremendous support from our local community. It's time that we give back to those in need. 29 checks are in the mail totaling $100,000 given to local organizations. All of our Firefighters/Lake Valley staff members extend a huge thank you to those who have donated to our Go Fund Me page and for the ongoing support.

Lake Valley Fire District, with financial support from the Lake Valley Firefighters Foundation, will continue to fill BCA and Mammut avalanche airbag canisters with some modifications to our procedures. This will remain a free service to our community. Thank you for your cooperation as we strive to continue this service while providing personnel and public safety during the COVID-19 pandemic. Please follow the instructions below if you would like your canister filled.
You can drop off your cylinder (cylinder must be completely empty) at the Station 7 drop box any day of the week. Box located near the front door of station 7 at 2211 Keetak St. Clearly label your cylinder with your full name and phone number prior to dropping it off. After dropping off your canister call station 7 (530-577-3737) to advise them of the drop off. Personnel may not always be available to answer the phone; however, the box will be checked on a daily basis. Lake Valley personnel will fill the bottle and call you when it is ready for pickup. Pickup box will be in the same location as the drop box. Pickup should be ready within 48 hours; however, circumstances may arise that prolong this time.
