With a heavy heart, I regret to inform you of the passing of our Founder, Steve Kubby.

He was in the company of his wife, family and friends when he passed at 6:01 PM California Time.

His wit, imagination and wise guidance will be missed.

Kubby Near Passing Away

My friend Steve Kubby is nearing the end of this mortal coil.
Much more a philosopher than I, he's been very stoic in the realization his body will no longer support his spirit.

Steve has expressed no regrets and is in no pain, but according to his loyal wife, very very near the end.

I had a lot of fun and made a lot of money with Steve. I also got to share part of his personal, political and professional journey.

Steve was not only a Cannabis legalization and business pioneer (OG for those of you living in Northern California), but in other areas of life as well.

Steve will be missed by me and many, not the least of who are his wife and children.

Libertarians will also well remember Steve as a wise OG peacemaker who was able to be friends with almost all factions of the Libertarian Party, something few others have ever done.

If you remember Steve fondly and wish to help Nobia with final arrangements, please reach out to her or me.

Steve has reqested to be cremated and have his ashes spread.

Nobia and company would like to place a memorial park bench overlooking Lake Tahoe. She has a special place in mind.

This will be relatively inexpensive to do ($3500.00?), but any help would be appreciated.

[Ma*****na Reconsidered] also drew the attention of the sitting president at the time, which was revealed years later in Richard Nixon’s Oval Office recordings.

“Every one of the bastards that are out for legalizing ma*****na is Jewish,” Nixon said in one of the recordings. On Grinspoon, Nixon was as blunt as he was harsh: “this clown is far on the left.”
