It took me forever for myself to be humbled to the point of allowing or accepting help. I really struggle with letting people in and being vulnerable. I really am one of those that feel I should be able to do everything and I do not need any help or assistance. But this particular project has been a challenge for me. My dear friends could see my stress and home health has come in and mentioned several times the problems with our home for a handicapped person, especially our bathroom. We have started to experience several falls as he maneuvers around the house. As hard as this is for me and after a lot of convincing, I am coming to the realization this is something I cannot do on my own.
