INFO. ALERT l Guyana will be home to the much-coveted CPL 2022 finals. Guyana’s Ministry of Tourism, Industry, and Commerce, under the leadership of Minister, Hon. Oneidge Walrond, will host the country’s first-ever Cricket Carnival. Enjoy the game we so love in the country that’s so sweet through a lineup of a dynamic and exciting mix of entertainment, sports and lots of fun!

The inaugural Cricket Carnival will be hosted from September 16 to October 2, 2022 under the “One Guyana” theme.

The GAGH would like to send condolences to the McDonald and McLean family for the loss of Mr Clifton McDonald. He was an educator for several school districts in Guyana. He will be greatly missed. Details of the upcoming services are below.

Happy New Year from the Guyanese Association of Greater Houston.

In 2020 we faced many challenges, the biggest of which was the pandemic. As we leave 2020 behind, I hope everyone continues to stay safe and follow the recommendations of medical professionals. The vaccine is here and hopefully, only a few months remain before we could all receive it.

To spread cheer and brighten the holidays, $100.00 gift cards were sent to five families. We received heartfelt appreciation.

Since the pandemic started, the association has been meeting virtually. Meetings are held on the first Sunday of each month starting at 3:00 p.m. If you would like to be a part of this progressive organization, please email us at [email protected] for the zoom information.

Even though we are not meeting face to face, we are working on events that would take place during and after the pandemic.
