Houston Cy-Fair Lions Club

Houston Cy-Fair Lions Club Non profit organization Houston Cy-Fair Lions Club was started in 1957 to help the less fortunate in the Cy-Fair community. We are a small but might Club.

One of our main goals in keeping with Lions Club International theme of sight preservation, is to purchase eye exams and eye glasses for children within the Cy-Fair School District whose parents could otherwise not afford to buy. We realize that children who cannot see the blackboard or the text book will have difficulty in learning. We also collect used eye glasses, which are then sorted, catalog

ued, and processed for distribution in needy countries worldwide. We have helped people afford wheel chairs, scooters, durable medical supplies, etc. We send physically challenged and diabetic children to Texas Children Lions' Camp in Kerrville, TX, for a week of normal camp activities, without charge to the parents/families. We run the concession stand at the West Little York Baseball complex, selling hot dogs, pizza, nachos, candy, chips, and drinks during baseball games. Each fall we have Lions Biking for Sight Bike Ride from Montgomery, Tx, as a fundraiser for our many charities. We meet the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays at 7PM at our building within Bane Park, at the corner of West Little York and Gessner, just off Hwy. 290. We have a catered meal, and speakers about our community or Lions Clubs. We would love to have you visit our Club and see what Lions do to help make the community a little better place for all.
