Huge congratulations to the Elks 1509 Dragon Boat Team for clinching a fantastic 2nd place win at the South Haven Dragon Boat Regatta on June 13th! This spirited team consisted of Elks members, friends, and several first time paddlers. Their hard work, synchronization, and dedication on the water truly paid off. We are incredibly proud of everything you accomplished out there—way to represent! 🐉🚣‍♂️🎉

Join us this Wednesday, June 10th at 6:30 PM for trivia at the South Haven Elks. This week's theme: Planes, trains, and automobiles. Test your knowledge of aviation, railroads, famous vehicles, transportation history, movies, and everything that moves us from point A to point B!

Bring your food or have it delivered - we'll be making the tasty drinks! Food service to resume soon!

🏀 Join South Haven Elks #1509 at the Free Fun Fest this Saturday! 🏀

We're excited to be part of the Michigan Maritime Museum's Free Fun Fest this Saturday, and we hope to see lots of Elk families there!

Stop by the South Haven Elks booth and take your shot at our basketball challenge. Kids of all ages are welcome to test their skills and have some fun. We'll also have Drug Awareness giveaways while supplies last.

Fun Fest is a wonderful community event featuring activities, exhibits, and interactive booths from a variety of outstanding local organizations. It's a great opportunity to spend time with family, connect with your community, and discover some of the many groups that help make South Haven such a special place to live, work, and play.

If you're looking for something fun to do with your children or grandchildren this weekend, be sure to stop by and say hello!

An Opportunity to Serve Our Veterans!!

Dear Southwest District Elks,

One of the things that makes Elkdom special is our unwavering commitment to our nation's veterans. Time and time again, Elks step forward to answer the call when there is a need, and today I am asking you to consider doing so once again.

A new golf cart has been secured for use at the Battle Creek VA Medical Center. The cart will help transport veterans around the campus, making it easier for those with mobility challenges to access the services and care they deserve. It will also be wrapped with Elks graphics, proudly displaying the support and dedication of the Southwest Michigan District.

The total cost of the project, including the cart and custom wrap, is $13,744. While funding assistance has been requested through state channels, our district has an opportunity to help make this project a reality through the generosity of our lodges and members.

Throughout the month of June, lodges across the district will be conducting fundraisers and collecting donations to support this effort. I encourage you to participate in these activities and, if you are able, consider making a personal contribution as well.

What makes this project especially meaningful is that it is not simply a donation—it is a lasting investment in the comfort and well-being of the veterans who visit the Battle Creek VA Medical Center. For years to come, veterans will benefit from a project that was made possible through the generosity of Elks who care.
No gift is too small. Whether you contribute through a lodge fundraiser, a 50/50 drawing, a direct donation, or simply by helping spread the word, your participation matters. When we work together, even small contributions add up to something extraordinary.

As District Deputy, I am proud of the work our lodges and members do every day in support of veterans. I hope you will join me in making this project another example of the compassion, generosity, and patriotism that define the Elks.

Hey everyone, the closure of the kitchen is due to having no chef. We started the interview process several weeks ago to get someone trained. However, we are still interviewing. If you know someone interested, please send them to our ad on Indeed or let House Committee know.

We are diligently working to hire new kitchen staff and are confident this will work out just fine. We’ve been here before and survived, so while we’re looking for the right fit, feel free to BYOF while enjoying beverages, and please remain supportive of our staff while we make necessary adjustments.

We do recognize we’re going into our busiest time of year, but we have our member’s best interest in mind as we make the best selection for our Club. Thank you for your patience! Please direct questions to the House Committee.

PLEASE NOTE: The kitchen will be closed until further notice. You are welcome to bring food, order delivery of food, Door Dash food, or any other method of bringing in your dinner. We will still be pouring those ice cold drinks! We are sorry for the inconvenience!
