Congratulations to Pope Leo XIV, the first American pope!

Check out this Christianity Today article citing data from the World Christian Database.

Though Leo XIV is from Chicago, his election to the papacy reflects the move of Christianity toward the Global South.

Together with the world's 1.2 billion Catholics, we mourn the loss of Pope Francis (1936–2025).

New Report: One Part of the Body: The Impact of Deportation on American Christian Families

The Center for the Study of Global Christianity, in collaboration with the National Association of Evangelicals, the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops, and World Relief, has released a crucial new report examining how proposed deportation policies could affect millions of Christian immigrants in the U.S.

Key Findings:
🔺Over 10 million Christian immigrants are at risk of deportation.
🔺80% of all those at risk of deportation are Christians, including 61% Catholics, 13% Evangelicals, and 7% from other Christian traditions.

Dr. Zurlo’s recent article on Christianity Today highlights The 21, an animated film portraying the martyrdom of 21 Christians, who were beheaded by ISIS in Libya.

“The 21 tells only one martyrdom story in less than ten minutes, bringing fewer than two dozen husbands, brothers, sons, and fathers to life in beautiful animated detail. But those ten minutes matter. These men are a testament to Christian faith under pressure. Their lives and deaths stand alongside other Christians who continue to make bold choices in the face of violence and persecution.”
