What a night! The Pingree halls and Hedge Garden were filled with endless stories, laughter, and warm reunions this past Saturday. We were thrilled to welcome over 220 alumni back home to South Hamilton for Community Reunion 2026! Seeing generations of Highlanders reconnect is a wonderful reminder of what makes this community so special. A huge thank you to everyone who made the trip back to campus. We can’t wait to see you again soon!

The tent is up and Saturday’s forecast predicts a beautiful fall day for Community Reunion! 🍁

We’ve just passed the 200 attendee mark and it’s not too late to join us this Saturday, October 10. All alumni are invited back to campus and alumni from class years ending in 1, 2, 6, and 7 will celebrate milestone reunions.

Pingree alumni from the Classes of 2015–2025: We want to hear from you! 💙

What has stayed with you since Pingree? What prepared you well, and what could we do better? Your perspective will help shape the experience for future students through our alumni survey, conducted in partnership with the National Association of Independent Schools (NAIS).

"A few years ago, psychotherapist and anxiety expert Lynn Lyons spoke at Pingree about parenting, anxiety, and our understandable desire to protect children from discomfort and uncertainty. One line stayed with me: “The elimination of uncertainty cannot be the goal.”

For years, we have talked with Pingree families about the journey from adolescence to adulthood: gradually letting go as our children become more capable of holding their own lives. Talking about this is considerably easier than doing it.

My oldest is now in his first year of college, several states away. Recently, I called him. No answer. I texted. Nothing. I knew he hadn’t been feeling well, so I called again. Radio silence.

And there it was, glowing like a small green invitation to abandon all perspective: Find My. So I looked. Then I looked again. Within minutes, I had turned an entirely ordinary parental check-in into a modest surveillance operation."

A Pingree reunion at TD Garden for a meaningful cause! Bobby Adam ’10, Jim MacLaughlin ’84, Anthony Sardo ’09, and Ben MacLaughlin ’08 joined fellow alum Tom Smith ’08 on Tuesday for the 2026 Thomas E. Smith Foundation Courage Cup. Powered by the Boston Bruins Foundation, the charity hockey tournament raises awareness of spinal cord injuries and funds to support people living with paralysis.

"Yesterday, we welcomed Dr. Thomas Burke ’79, from Vayu Global Health, back to Pingree for an inspiring conversation about healthcare access in our world. Building on our community read, Everything Is Tuberculosis by John Green, Dr. Burke shared lessons from a career devoted to global health, medical devices to improve maternal and newborn survival, and emergency medicine around the world. He is the director of the Global Health Innovation Lab at Massachusetts General Hospital, a professor at Harvard Medical School and the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, and a practicing emergency physician. His research on postpartum hemorrhage has helped shape global standards of care, and his work has taken him from hospital emergency rooms to communities around the world."
