South Hadley Family Center Indoor playgroup for young children and their caregiver. Welcome to the South Hadley Family Center.

Participation is at one’s own risk and the SHFC is not liable for any injury or illness resulting from participation in said event. A cooperative playgroup where caregivers meet and young children play. Come join us for fun, socialization, crafts, snack and story time. The SHFC is a non-profit organization that is directed by the Board of Directors (volunteers) and the center’s Director. The SHFC

is not affiliated with any religious group and is welcome to all. The SHFC does not discriminate on basis of color, race, national origin, religion, s*x, disability, s*xual orientation, political beliefs, or marital, family or economic status. Donations, grants and fundraising efforts support 100% of annual budget.

February Vacation is almost here!

There’s still space available in the Northampton Parks & Recreation Department February Vacation Program — don’t miss out on the fun! Register soon to secure your spot. Each day has a theme and program supervisors lead fun activities including both indoor and outdoor games, arts and crafts, swimming, sports, and more! Amazing new adaptive swimming program in Holyoke for children with autism and their caregivers! Holyoke YMCA has partnered with AUTISM ALLIES in Agawam to offer specialized, hands-on safety classes. Their new Drowning Prevention program is an accessible 5-week course designed for parents/guardians and their children.

This program requires a caregiver to accompany their child in a 3.5-foot-deep pool. Registration is required. Financial assistance is available to those who qualify.

What: Adaptive Drowning Prevention Program in Holyoke

Where: The Greater Holyoke YMCA, 171 Pine Street, Holyoke MA

When:
Fall 2 Session: Nov. 1-Dec. 13, 2025
Winter Session: Jan. 3-Feb. 14, 2026

Days/Times:
Youth 5-12 years old: Saturdays 10:30-11:15 a.m.
Parent-Child ages 2-5 years old: Saturdays 11:15 a.m.-12:00 p.m.

Cost per Session: Members $60; Non-Members $100

Grant opportunities are available for children with disabilities, young people 4-18 years of age, and low income families.
