Brittney’s Believers A 501(c)3 nonprofit, to honor & continue the legacy of our daughter Brittney Gail Bliss while suporting childhood cancer families and research 💜💔

Brittney's Believers was created to honor and continue the legacy of our daughter, Brittney Gail Bliss, who passed at the precious age of 5 after fighting Embryonal Rhabdomyosarcoma for just over a year. Brittney was such an incredible and truly remarkable little girl, whose bravery and strength surpassed what most of us could ever dream of. She had a shining light and energy that could outshine the stars, and she taught us all so much about courage and love. We want to ensure her memory lives on and to help raise awareness and support for not just her cancer but all pediatric cancers as well. Our goals are to raise funds and awareness for research. To help local families battling childhood cancer and to give back to organizations that helped us in Brittney's name.

💜 We love seeing local organizations come together to make a difference for kids and families!

Tomorrow, our friends at Magic for Maddie are hosting their 5th Annual 5K & Carnival 🏃‍♀️✨🎗️💜 always such a great time supporting an incredible cause: childhood cancer and DIPG awareness!

Then next Saturday, join Youth for Change - Formerly WMCD for their Comedy Fundraiser: a youth run non-profit that empowers young people to become compassionate leaders through volunteerism, community engagement, and charitable giving.

We’re excited to be at BOTH events to show our support for these amazing organizations right here in the Pioneer Valley! 💛 We’re lucky to have so many passionate people working to make a difference for children and families in our community.

Day 28:
We're living in an extraordinary era of cancer science.
Scientists are uncovering the genetic and molecular drivers of cancer at a pace that is opening new possibilities for treatment.
But childhood cancer isn't simply adult cancer in a smaller body.
Children's cancers generally have fewer genetic alterations than adult cancers, and many arise from changes involving normal development or distinctive genetic fusions. Their biology can be fundamentally different.
That means we can't always take what we've learned from adult cancers and expect it to translate directly to children.
Childhood cancer needs its own science.

At cc-TDI, we're using basic science to identify the specific biological drivers of childhood cancers—and then working from those discoveries to develop potential, more precisely targeted therapies.
