SHFNA sent in a donation to Neighbors Helping Neighbors this week. We decided that giving to the food pantry that serves our neighborhood is the best way for us to be neighborly at this time. If you are food insecure and need a little help, or are able to make a donation, please visit NHN's website for more information. www.nhnfoodpantry.org

FYI

Our school resource officer has received a second report of suspicious activity while students were en route to their bus stops. The first incident, reported Tuesday, was that a male in a dark colored SUV asked a female student if she wanted a ride while she was en route to a bus stop on Granby Rd. At this time further investigation has not developed any further information or description.

The second incident, reported today, occurred in the area of Hartford and Spring Streets. A female student en route to her bus stop reported that a low profile red pick up truck seemed to be following her and stopping in proximity to her location. She believed there to be a lone occupant that she described as a white male in his 50s-60s with a scraggly beard. This individual made no direct contact but his actions were unnerving to the student.

It is unknown at this time whether these incidents are related or not. Both incidents continue to be investigated. If anyone has any information to either incident please contact the police department at 413-538-8231.

As always do not hesitate to call 911 immediately to report any suspicious activity.

South Hadley Falls Neighborhood Association
Meeting Reminder

The South Hadley Falls Neighborhood Association will meet on Saturday, February 1, 2020
From 4:00p.m.-6:00p.m. in the Community Room of the South Hadley Public Library on Canal St

This is a great opportunity for residents of South Hadley Falls, business owners, and anyone interested in the Falls community to share your ideas on how the Neighborhood Association can help make the Falls a great place to live and work. Now, more than ever, it is a great time to be a part of the Neighborhood Association. The South Hadley Falls Redevelopment Plan was recently fully approved, there are new housing projects underway, and a future roadway improvement project for Main Street is on the books for 2021. All of these initiatives will benefit from citizen involvement, and the Neighborhood Association can serve as a collective voice for the residents of South Hadley Falls.
Please come to our meeting on February 1 and add your voice to help make the Neighborhood Association strong. This is an informal, friendly meeting where neighbors, new and old, can share concerns, get updates on various town activities, and help plan an agenda for 2020.

Hope to See You There!
