🎉 Introducing the SHMD Spirit Closet! 🎉
We are excited to launch a brand-new resource for all South High Marathon Dance dancers and families: the SHMD Spirit Closet!
The Spirit Closet is designed to ensure that every student who wants to participate in Marathon can fully experience the excitement, energy, and traditions of SHMD, regardless of financial circumstances.
What is the Spirit Closet?
The SHMD Spirit Closet will provide dancers with access to Marathon essentials and spirit gear, including:
Tie-dye shirts
Neon clothing and accessories
Tutus
Sunglasses
Hats
Red and blue spirit gear
And so much more!
Whether you're new to Marathon, don't have older siblings to pass gear down from, or simply need help gathering spirit items, the Spirit Closet is here to help every dancer feel included, confident, and ready for Marathon.
♻️ Promoting Sustainability
The Spirit Closet is also a great way to give gently used spirit gear a second life rather than letting it go to waste. After Spirit Week and at the conclusion of Marathon, donation boxes will be available outside classrooms for students to donate unwanted items such as neon gear, tie-dye clothing, tutus, red and blue gear, and more.
📢 How You Can Help!
To get the Spirit Closet started, we need your support!
During Regents Exam weeks (June 17–18 and June 22–26), students and families are encouraged to donate new or gently used Marathon gear. Collection boxes will be located at school entrances for easy drop-off.
