We need more traps to be able to fill a clinic day with South Fork Veterinary Clinic! We have 15 and need another 15. Can you help??? Donations of actual traps are more than welcome. Even loans are welcome. Our preference is the Trucatch LTD30, but the Tomahawk GT606 is great too, although more $$$. Truth is, we go trapping with what we have, not what we want. Rivvy has already been through so much, and she’s come out the other side with nothing but love to give. 💛 This sweet girl recently had to have her leg amputated, but don’t let that fool you, Rivvy is thriving as a tripod and living her best life! She’s also now spayed, microchipped, and fully up to date on all her vaccines… ready for her forever home. 🐾

But getting her to this point took a village and now we need your help. We’re raising funds to cover Rivvy’s medical care so we can continue saying “yes” to dogs just like her. Happy Tongue Out Tuesday and St. Patrick's Day from our favorite tripod adoptable girl, Rivvy! 😜☘️

Photos can be deceiving… because Rivvy is way smaller than she looks! At just 38 pounds, Rivvy is truly the perfect lap-sized dog. For reference, I’m 5’5” and she just barely reaches my knees, aka the ideal height for snuggles, couch hangs, and being your little shadow. Meet Rivvy 🐾

Another busy and rewarding spay/neuter clinic yesterday! Our team worked hard to help community cats stay healthier and prevent future litters. 🐾

Clinic numbers:
🐱 9 neuters
🐱 9 spays
🐱 1 “attempted” spay on a girl who had no scar or tattoo, but after a very thorough search… no uterus or ovaries either! The mystery remains, but she’s now tattooed, ear-notched, and vaccinated so everyone will know she’s already spayed
🐱 1 additional cat was also discovered to have been previously spayed

One special case was a spay kitty with an issue in her left eye. She appears to have a suspected congenital defect, with a slightly sunken eye and inward-turning eyelids that were rubbing on the surface. Dr. Jodi performed corrective eyelid surgery on both lids to relieve the irritation. She also had dermatitis, so we’re keeping her for observation to make sure she heals well. Several cats also arrived with fleas and were treated before heading home.

Every clinic like this means fewer kittens born into hardship and healthier lives for the cats already out there. Huge thanks to everyone who made this clinic possible, we appreciate you so much! ❤️
