🎄🐾 Happy Holidays from all of us at West Valley Humane Alliance! 🐾🎄

As we move through the holiday season, we want to thank our incredible community for your continued compassion and support. 💛
At West Valley Humane Alliance, our primary mission is to reduce suffering and prevent overpopulation among community and feral cats through accessible, humane spay and neuter clinics. These clinics are vital to improving feline health, stopping the cycle of unwanted litters, and creating healthier communities for both animals and people.

🩺 How You Can Support Our Mission
To continue this lifesaving work, we rely on the generosity of our supporters. We have an Amazon Wishlist registry with much-needed supplies that are used directly in our spay/neuter clinics, post-operative recovery, and community outreach efforts.

🐱 Urgent Need: Humane Cat Traps
Cat traps are an essential tool in helping community cats safely and humanely. They allow us to transport cats to and from clinics while minimizing stress and ensuring the safety of the cats, our volunteers, and veterinary teams.

💙 Make a Difference This Holiday Season
West Valley Humane Alliance is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, and all donations are tax-deductible. Every donated item and every act of support helps us continue providing compassionate, effective care where it is needed most.

On Saturday, December 13th, we were proud to host our second spay/neuter clinic for colony cats in the Del Norte area. Thanks to an incredible collaborative effort, 43 cats were spayed/neutered and vaccinated. In addition to sterilization, two cats received antibiotics for upper respiratory infections and dental extractions, one cryptorchid cat was treated, and seven cats were treated for fleas and ticks. We also vaccinated and microchipped one already-neutered, exceptionally friendly cat—who is now available for adoption!

We extend our deepest gratitude to Colorado Animal Rescue Express–CARE (Lisa Mendelsberg) for their extraordinarily generous donation, which played a vital role in making this clinic possible. We are also sincerely thankful to the Bergen Spay and Neuter Alliance for their continued support of this critical work.

A heartfelt thank you goes to our dedicated volunteers—Tom Baker, Iris Devlin, Terry Ratliff, Jessica Golightly, and Emily Bogardus—as well as WVHA Board members Lisa Karst and Traci Ratliff. Your time, compassion, and commitment were essential to the success of the day.

We would also like to recognize our outstanding veterinary team: Dr. Jodi Duff, Madison Atencio, and Jaimie Dillon. Your expertise, teamwork, and compassionate care ensured every cat received the highest standard of treatment.

From all of us at West Valley Humane Alliance, thank you for helping us make a meaningful and lasting difference for the animals in our community.

On Saturday, November 22nd, we held our very first spay/neuter clinic for the Del Norte colony cats and we’re thrilled to share that we spayed/neutered and vaccinated 28 cats, provided additional medical care to 8 of them, and treated one already ear-tipped cat.

A huge thank you to Colorado Animal Rescue Express-CARE (Lisa Mendelsberg) for their incredibly generous donation that helped make this clinic possible. We’re also deeply grateful to the Bergen Spay and Neuter Alliance for their support of this important work.

To our amazing volunteers Tom Baker, Iris Devlin, and Emily Bogardus and our WVHA Board members, Lisa Karst and Traci Ratliff: thank you for all your help on clinic day. We couldn’t have done it without your time, dedication, and heart.

An extra-special thank you to our incredible vet staff: Dr. Jodi Duff, Madison Atencio, and Jaimie Dillon. Your expertise, compassion, and teamwork kept the day running smoothly and ensured every kitty received the best possible care.

From all of us at West Valley Humane Alliance, thank you for helping us make a meaningful difference for the animals in our community.
