Exciting News from the Heart of South Fork
The South Fork Community Foundation is Back—and We’re Just Getting Started
Dear Friend,
We have news! And we have something wonderful to share.
If you’ve ever donated to The Greater South Fork Community Foundation, you’ve already helped shape the soul of this town. And now, as we turn the page to a vibrant new chapter in our story, we hope you’ll join us once again in making a lasting difference in the lives of our neighbors.
Let’s rewind for a moment.
About five years ago, The Greater South Fork Community Foundation joined forces with The Friends of South Fork to form the South Fork Friends Foundation (SFFF). What happened next was nothing short of inspiring—thanks to generous community champions like you.
You helped us build Rickel Park, bringing kids and families together on the basketball court and skating rink. You helped us launch signature events like the Alder Ass Race and the South Fork Arts and Crafts Show. You even helped light up our winters—literally—through the Yuletide Celebration and Christmas displays that brought joy to the entire town.
As South Fork continued to grow, many of these projects were proudly passed on to the Town of South Fork to carry forward. And with that mission accomplished, SFFF gracefully stepped aside, having fulfilled its purpose.
But the spirit behind it never left. In fact, it’s stronger than ever.
We’re thrilled to announce a relaunch of our original name and mission:
The South Fork Community Foundation is back.
And we’re ready to take on the future—with bold ideas, focused leadership, and the same commitment to community that made our early years so impactful.
Meet the new Board of Directors leading the way:
• Rick Morgan, President
• Jeff Sale, Vice President
• Debbie Clapper, Secretary
• Suzan Ginani, Treasurer
• Pat Miller, Board Member
• Autumn Petticrew, Board Member
• Sunnie Richardson, Board Member
• Lauren “Lulu” Woolf, Board Member
Our funds remain securely managed by the Pikes Peak Community Foundation, ensuring responsible stewardship, just as in the past.
So, what’s next?
We're setting our sights on fresh, meaningful initiatives—starting with scholarships for South Fork youth. We’re also exploring support for CASA del Valle, a new organization that trains court-appointed volunteers to advocate for vulnerable children in difficult family or foster care situations.
This is the kind of work that transforms lives—and we need your voice, your vision, and your heart to help make it happen.
We invite you to be part of this renewed movement of generosity and progress. Visit us at SouthForkCommunityFoundation.org to learn more about where we’re headed.
Today, we reach out to you not merely as representatives, but as fellow neighbors, dedicated to earning your financial support so that together, we may continue to make South Fork a better place for everyone. Thank you for being part of our past. We’d be honored to have you in our future.
With appreciation,
The South Fork Community Foundation
