The Cape Cod Veterans Inc. are having a Wine Pairing Fundraiser at the LOFT in West Yarmouth MA on May 3rd. It's not just wine tasting, it is a curated event by a specialist in wine pairing that you do not want to miss. Grab some friends and make a night of it. A huge thank you to Giardino's Family Restaurant and all that supported our fundraiser for the Wounded Warfighter fishing trip last night. The energy was amazing. Joe Mac and Johnny provided us with some amazing music. With your help, we raised over $1500 of the $6000 needed for this event. I had the privilege of honoring Mr. Richard “Ritchie” Cubetus at his internment at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne. Ritchie served in the Army during Vietnam. The community outpouring for this veteran was inspiring. NO VETERAN should buried alone.

You don't have to go all the way to Bourne to honor veterans this weekend. Just bundle up and join us for the Wreaths Across America celebration in our own back yard. The program starts at noon and will be located at 485 Main St in South Dennis (Liberty Field - The Old Town Hall). Stop by and say hello to Matilda and get a free cup of cocoa, cider or coffee. Matilda says, she hopes to see you there.

Dennis Firefighters were Happy to include Cape & Islands Veterans Outreach Center this year in our Homeless for the Holidays collection efforts! Thanks to your generosity we were able to provide them with a Bin full of items and a $2000 monetary donation! Thank you Dennis Community!
