💙🦅 It has been brought to our attention that many of you in our community are wondering what happened to The Giving Box Project? We were hoping to make an announcement about a relocation but we have not found the right place at this time. To help clear the air, last month Eagles for a Cause received a phone call from the Town of South Congaree about The Giving Box. In response to complaints about The Giving Box, the Town Council suggested that the box be relocated due to misuse, drugs, and paraphernalia left behind. Eagles for a Cause created the Giving Box as a place for food, books and gifts to be shared with those in need. We agreed with the town to remove it if it became a nuisance.
We have worked hard to support our community in the best way we can. As a community, we only want what is best for everyone.
Eagles for a Cause was founded to join friends, families, and neighbors together to serve our schools and community. Our goal is to plan events that will help fill in the gap by giving back, educating and supporting our community, in addition to social events to bring us all together.
Eagles for a Cause came about in 2012 while the Airport High School Class of 1992 was planning their 20th high school reunion. The idea and cause did not come full circle until planning their 25th reunion in 2017. In August of 2017, Eagles for a Cause was approved as a non-profit charity and with help from alumni, friends, and family the need, hard work and vision had begun. 💙🦅
