Young people need more than just work they also need to play and build community. It’s so deeply sad that so many organizers of the DEFUND campaign shifted energy to a campaign that now suggests Black youth just avoid gathering outside because it is now highly criminalized and there’s a high chance of violence against them by their own governance who were their teachers. We lost too many in the heatwave of 1995 to thirty years later suggest stay inside or go to work as healthy for our youth. Why can’t we give them something fun to do and stop policing their god given right to nature. Our children get to play outside & go to the lake. Do your homework on Red Summer in Chicago
