Meet other families with young children and a love for the outdoors. Walk starts at 9am, park at the Allen Brook Nature Trail, 39 N Williston Rd, Williston VT.

A few weeks ago, Lund's Early Childhood Education Program hatched chicks. The children enjoyed learning about the life cycle of a chicken and they enjoyed watching and holding the baby chicks.

We had a great time last week at Reading Together. A Children's Literacy Foundation presenter led an engaging storytelling session and families enjoyed pizza and a book to take home. 🍕📚

Our Richmond playgroup is moving outside for the summer! Join us at Volunteer’s Green in Richmond Wednesdays from 9 – 11 AM (starting this week). ☀️

This free weekly playgroup is run by an experienced family educator and is a fun and casual way to meet other families from the area, and enjoy unstructured outdoor play. All families with children 0-5 are encouraged to attend, older siblings welcome!

StoryWalk is back! Stop by our StoryWalk along the South Burlington Bike Path (behind our 50 Joy Drive office building). Enjoy reading a book, page by page, as you walk along the Bike Path behind Joy Drive. The book is currently Mouse Paint by Ellen Stoll Walsh.

The StoryWalk® Project was created by Anne Ferguson and developed in collaboration with the in Montpelier Vermont. Storywalk® is a registered service mark owned by the Kellogg-Hubbard Library.

Lund is pleased to announce that Emily Hecker will join Lund as the new Director of Advancement on June 2.

Emily Hecker has spent her career in public media, nonprofit communications and development, most recently serving as Director of Development for the Humane Society of Chittenden County. She is passionate about helping people turn their values and hopes for a better world into meaningful support for impactful nonprofits like Lund.

The years from birth to age five are a crucial time in a child’s brain development. During this important stage, our partnership with Howard Center helps ensure children in Lund’s Early Childhood Education Program who need additional support receive individualized services. Howard Center clinicians work one-on-one with students in our classrooms while also partnering with families at home, helping bridge the gap between school and home environments.

One of Lund’s preschool teachers shared, “Each child has unique needs, and Howard Center clinicians collaborate with us in our classroom environment and with families on their terms so we all have the resources to set each child up for success!”

Lund’s 5 STAR Early Childhood Education Program provides high-quality care and education for children ages six weeks to five years because we know a strong start makes a lifelong difference.

Lund’s Resident Treatment Program is hiring a Weekend Residential Shift Supervisor to support pregnant and parenting individuals in our care. In this role, you’ll supervise Residential Counselors, help coordinate daily programming, assist with new resident orientation, and help create a safe, supportive, and structured environment where families can heal, grow, and thrive. With opportunities to guide and mentor staff, plan activities, and collaborate with community partners, this role is perfect for someone who loves leading with compassion and building strong relationships.

The payrate for this position is $27/hr. Certain shifts also offer a $2.50 differential!
