🚀 Help CSH students build AI-powered solutions for the Bronx!

This September, Comp Sci High students are kicking off the year with AI for the People, our Fall Design Competition. Students will use AI agents, technology, and community problem-solving to design apps addressing real challenges across the Bronx. We’re looking for professionals and community members to join us in two ways:

🛠️ Engineering Expo Volunteer | Tues. 9/1, 9:30 AM–12:30 PM
Work alongside student teams as they identify community problems, brainstorm solutions, and develop AI-powered app prototypes. We especially need expertise in community development and technology & AI.

🏆 Competition Judge | Fri. 9/4, 10:30 AM–12:30 PM
Watch students pitch their final apps, provide feedback, evaluate their solutions, and help select winning teams based on creativity, community impact, and technical ex*****on.

In collaboration with Bronx Fashion Week, we were able to make so many middle school & high school seniors from our community feel seen, confident, and prom-ready — for FREE 💃🏽🕺🏽

From dresses to suits to accessories — drip secured, confidence unlocked, smiles everywhere 💫

This is what community looks like 🤞🏽 Thank you to everyone who played a major part in making this Prom Drive a success for our youth.

Last week, Comp Sci High students joined nearly 2,000 young people from across New York City at the NYC Computer Science Opportunity Fair, held at the Armory in Washington Heights! 🗽💻

This annual event brought together 60 schools and 80+ tech companies, nonprofits, and colleges for a full day of exploration, connection, and inspiration. Our students had the opportunity to engage directly with industry professionals, explore cutting-edge technology, and connect with organizations shaping the future of tech.

From hands-on AI experiences to live coding and student project showcases, the day was immersive, engaging, and deeply aligned with the work we do every day at CSH.

The NYC tech pipeline is strong—and our students are a powerful part of that story. 🚀
