Good evening soccer friends and family!

We have made the decision to move forward with our last day of South Berwick Recreation Soccer tomorrow morning. We feel it’s important for the kids to have a sense of normalcy and closure on their fall soccer season. We are fortunate that our organization is comprised of teams solely within our community.



Many factors were taken into consideration with our decision. You will see police presence in the area of the fields during our games tomorrow. This is not to alarm anyone but help everyone feel safe at the fields. We realize families are managing the situation in their own way and some may choose not to join us at the fields tomorrow. We are all dealing with varying levels of stress, anxiety, sadness, and fear. We encourage families to do what’s best for them and know that if your family is not at the field tomorrow, we will have your player’s Fall Soccer 2023 medal at the community center. You are welcome to swing by anytime during the week to pick up the medal.



Please keep in mind none of these decisions are easy to make and we are doing what we feel is best for the kids in our community given what we know at this moment in time. This situation is ever changing, and we will continue to evaluate through the evening. If our status changes for tomorrow, we will post to the South Berwick Recreation and SB Youth Soccer page as well as email communication out for coaches to share.



We’re glad we can give the kids closure tomorrow and we look forward to seeing you if you’re comfortable joining us.

🌟 🌟 FYI Rec Soccer Community 🌟 🌟

In light of everything going on in our world right now, our priority is to keep our community safe.



We are cancelling practices for this evening (Thursday, 10.26.23). We will be in touch tomorrow regarding Saturday games.



Our thoughts go out to the Lewiston community and everyone who has been touched by this tragic incident.

We did our best to stay positive about the weather this weekend however, due to the high winds expected for tomorrow all South Berwick Recreation Soccer games will be cancelled. Keeping everyone safe is our priority. Games scheduled for Saturday, September 16, 2023 will be played on Saturday, October 28, 2023.

Stay safe this weekend and we look forward to a beautiful week next week, followed by a sunny 1st game Saturday, September 23, 2023.
