Moses was continually under stress from his role of leadership. Trying to manage complaints, demands, directives, etc had him overwhelmed. His father in law told him that if he didn’t change his methods the people would eventually burn him out. The sad part is, the same people that were constantly stressing Moses to death began to idolize him when he died. Honor good leaders while you have them. Don’t just celebrate them after they transition.

When you walk in God’s favor, don’t be surprised by the noise. Jealousy, criticism, and even betrayal often follow a life that is being blessed. Remember to practice emotional restraint, stay focused on your path, and ignore those who are disturbed by your success. Your blessing is worth more than their opinion.
