In this conversation, Devyn speaks to the structural shift happening across education and workforce development and why building real career infrastructure matters now more than ever.

𝗪𝗲’𝗿𝗲 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗻𝗲𝗿 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗖𝗖𝗔𝗜 𝘁𝗼 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗴𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗜𝗻𝗱𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗙𝗶𝗻𝗶𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗧𝗮𝗹𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗣𝗶𝗽𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗲!

Runwayz is excited to announce a strategic partnership with Chemical Coaters Association International (CCAI) to expand awareness and access to careers in industrial finishing.
Industrial finishing is a critical yet often under-recognized sector of manufacturing. From aerospace to automotive to infrastructure, finishing professionals bring precision, craftsmanship, and technical expertise to industries that power our economy. Yet many students never see this pathway.
That’s what this partnership is designed to change.

𝗘𝘅𝗽𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗔𝗰𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗦𝗸𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗱 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗿𝘀
Runwayz is building the marketplace where work-based learning meets real-world opportunity.
Through this collaboration, students exploring skilled trades and manufacturing careers will be able to:
• Discover industrial finishing as a viable, high-demand pathway
• Create skills-first digital profiles that showcase certifications, projects, and durable skills
• Connect directly with CCAI member companies
• Navigate training programs, apprenticeships, and entry points into the industry

Rather than relying solely on traditional resumes, students can present a “whole human” profile — combining technical milestones with strengths like attention to detail, precision, and problem-solving.

𝗦𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗘𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗼𝘆𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗘𝗮𝗿𝗹𝗶𝗲𝗿 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗧𝗮𝗹𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗝𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗻𝗲𝘆
For CCAI member companies, the partnership provides earlier engagement with emerging talent.
Employers can:
• Build company profiles
• Showcase finishing career pathways
• Connect with students before graduation
• Strengthen long-term, sustainable workforce pipelines
CCAI’s pilot partners will provide feedback to help refine the platform to meet the specific needs of the finishing and coating industry.

Together, Runwayz and CCAI will evaluate pilot results, refine engagement strategies, and explore scalable opportunities to expand access to finishing careers nationwide.

𝗧𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗰𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗯𝗼𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗿𝗲𝗳𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝘀 𝗮 𝘀𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗯𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗲𝗳:
When students understand how their interests translate into high-demand careers, industries thrive.

Additional details and opportunities for CCAI members will be shared as the program progresses and highlighted at CCAI’s 2026 Annual Meeting.

We are excited to announce a new strategic partnership between CCAI and Runwayz , an innovative mobile-first career-exploration and talent-connection platform designed to introduce students and early-career individuals to skilled trades and manufacturing careers. Through this collaboration, CCAI and Runwayz aim to increase awareness of careers in industrial finishing, connect employers with emerging talent earlier in their career journeys, and support long-term workforce development across the industry.

Runwayz provides an integrated experience that allows users to explore careers, build profiles and resumes, and connect directly with employers, apprenticeships, training programs, and mentors. The platform is designed to engage students early and guide them toward hands-on, in-demand career opportunities.

The platform allows employers to create their own company profiles, showcase career opportunities within industrial finishing, and connect with students who are exploring skilled trade and manufacturing careers. CCAI has several pilot partners that will provide feedback to help shape the platform to better meet the needs of the finishing and coating industry.

As part of the initiative, CCAI and Runwayz will work together to evaluate pilot results, refine engagement strategies, and explore future opportunities to expand awareness and access to careers in industrial finishing. Additional details about the partnership and opportunities for CCAI members to participate will be shared as the program progresses and will be featured at CCAI’s 2026 Annual Meeting at the end of May.
