Cornerstone Alliance has launched a strategic planning process to set its priorities for Berrien County over the next five years. They want to hear from the community: take a few minutes to share your perspective below.

The future of our region is a shared responsibility. Cornerstone Alliance is undertaking a comprehensive strategic planning process to define our priorities and guide our work in the years ahead, and it starts with you.

As the region’s economic development organization, we have a responsibility to continually assess the needs and opportunities facing our businesses, communities, and economy, and ensure our efforts are focused where we can make the greatest impact.

Through research, stakeholder engagement, and community input, we’ll identify opportunities, establish strategic priorities, and develop an actionable roadmap for the future. Berrien County residents, businesses, investors, and partners are all invited to participate.

The survey is open through Oct. 9. Learn more and take the survey at cstonealliance.org/strategic-planning/.

Last week, our team joined community partners to celebrate the opening of Diamond View Apartments in downtown South Bend.

The 60-unit community offers apartments across the street from Four Winds Field, with rents based on household income. Twelve of the three-bedroom homes are designed for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, and LOGAN has space in the building to support those residents.

Congratulations to everyone who helped bring this project to completion!

Last week, we brought a group from South Bend - Elkhart to IMTS - International Manufacturing Technology Show in Chicago, the largest trade show of its kind in the Western Hemisphere.

More than 1,800 exhibitors and 90,000 attendees filled McCormick Place to show off what's next in automation, additive manufacturing, and quality assurance. For a region built on advanced manufacturing, it was a chance to see where the industry is headed and bring ideas back home.
