As the month of July comes to an end, we want to take a moment to thank the Notre Dame Alumni Family Volunteer Camp for two incredible weeks of service! 💚💛

These ND families gave their time and hearts to One More Citizen — helping behind the scenes and connecting directly with our students — while also extending their generosity to our partner, Saint Casimir Parish, through hands-on care for their grounds and community.

This is the second year we’ve had the privilege of welcoming this program, and it means more than we can say. Thank you, Notre Dame Alumni & Friends, for your continued friendship and for showing up for us again this July. 💫

🇺🇸 Happy Memorial Day from all of us at One More Citizen. 💙
Today, as we honor those who gave everything for this country and the freedoms it promises, we are filled with so much pride and gratitude sharing this story with you.
Earlier this month, we had the incredible honor of watching one of our very own students — Karla Gonzalez-Muñoz — graduate from the Northern Indiana Law Enforcement Academy. Our President and several of our Board Members were there in person to witness and celebrate the moment she and her fellow officers were sworn in.

We watched as these newly sworn officers, proudly dressed in their uniforms, walked together down the aisle — surrounded by the families who love them, who sacrificed for them, who cheered them on every step of the way. It was one of those moments you simply don’t forget. We were overcome with gratitude for their service and sacrifice and so very proud to celebrate one of our own who is now answering that same call to serve.

For Karla, becoming a U.S. citizen wasn’t just a milestone — it was the key that unlocked the door to her dream. Karla came to us as a student and tutor in our citizenship classes. Today, she is a
South Bend Police Department police officer — living proof that one of the greatest gifts of U.S. citizenship is the freedom to pursue your dreams and serve your community.

This is exactly why we do what we do. One of the most profound gifts of U.S. citizenship is the freedom to dream boldly — and the ability to turn those dreams into something real, something meaningful, something that gives back in service for the greater good.

Congratulations, Officer Gonzalez-Muñoz! 🎉💙 You are One More Citizen 🇺🇸 making a difference in our community. We couldn’t be more grateful and proud.

—————-💙

🇺🇸 Feliz Día de los Caídos (Memorial Day) de parte de todos nosotros en One More Citizen. 💙
